AEW could do it right now by bringing Punk back and having a seemingly non-kayfabe-but-still-kayfabe battle with him and FTR and the Elite. Even have all the locker room take sides and maybe even split it like some sort of WCW V.S. NWO thing.
WWE could do something similar by having McMahon redo the corporate angle only this time its the "Saudi angle" and have Sami lead a faction that wants to take back WWE led by Steph.
But no, we're just going to watch Dom Mysterio do Razor Ramon impersonations and AEW have people flip around for 2 hours while we get a main event where Mox bleeds on a no-name Japanese guy.
