The cars are designed to withstand impact and the air bags are way better now, actually I’m not sure about 2016 models, but beyond that the airbags make it so u don’t need a seatbelt, trust me.

in a good car, that's unlikely to happen, even in a head on collision. If you wear your seat belt you have a 70-80% chance of surviving even head on collisions, unless you're colliding with a truck or something really heavy coming at you full speed.
