The two worked so well together; it was weird watching that match and seeing an angry RVD attack what, Matt, before it started? This was that weird period where people wanted Rob to be angry and tear his hair out when he was losing and shit, and that's just not Rob.
The two of their styles worked so well in that hardcore match environment. Jeff makes falling off stuff look great and ROb made it look stylish. Their outfits, their styles, their offense, their use of weapons. It was literally just a match made in heaven.
If I had to choose and I'm not just joining the consensus, but Rob won a little bit more in the ring and in life. Rob's got a bimbo wife that hangs out with strippers and porn stars and still smokes weed to this day and Jeff's what, facing jail? I mean in the end, they turned the stories of Jeff's meth house trailer burning down and killing Matt's dog into a storyline, they turned Jeff being a drug affict when it was clear from the stories and headlines they couldn't hide it anymore into something that elevated CM Punk's career when they were feuding and Jeff also once was released because he asked Shelton Benjamin to help him find a crack rock he dropped backstage. And he got brought back SEVERAL times. However, Rob was their world champion in two different companies and got pulled over for weed. Very humilating for the company, but he got blacklisted in a way Jeff didn't. It was never the same for RVD in the company after that and I have a feeling a lot of that had to simply with HHH not liking him, or maybe being right about him the whole time after the traffic incident happened.
I'm going with Rob but the two worked so well together and had such a blend of styles that it was cool they got to clash and its a pleasure to see them in the ring. Really cool choice of match for Smackdown: SYM too.
