The gimmick ran it's course.
It was objectively stale cringe-kino by the time he left TNA and outright cringe after it's WWE run. Taking it to AEW, even it was only used for a hot minute, wasn't going to change that.

This is correct. Final Deletion was pure kino. Then they did the Total Nonstop Deletion thing a few months later which was still enjoyable. From there it just ran its course and there was nowhere left to go with it, but it had to be run into the ground for another 5 years.
