I don’t think Jinder Mahal is better than (or has more of a legacy) Piper, Perfect, Bigelow, etc just because he won the WWE title. Winning the title only means something if they have a plan for it.

Brother people were saying he shouldve/couldve been champ 20 years ago. I remember in death of wcw (terrible book) they talked a bunch about it. I read that book when it came out and I always assumed he had been wwf champion at some point because he always just seemed like a main event guy. I didnt even realise he was never champ

i wonder how much of it was Hall not wanting the pressure of being world champ. similar to Eddie.
apparently in 2002 at the beginning of the NWA-TNA, they wanted Hall to win the battle royale to win the NWA world title and he declined it. so ken shamrock won.
so that would have been the time for him to win his first world title and he turned them down and we'll probably never know why
