I need your opinion on an incident I had with MJF a few years back

I think about this every time I hear about the Jericho Cruise or MJF and I don’t know how I should feel. I’m tired of debating it in my mind and I need a fresh source of input.

Before I explain, let me just state that I’ve had an incomplete spinal cord injury since 2007. I started out wheelchair-bound and eventually worked my way up to using a walker, after which I moved on to using forearm crutches. (Think Walter White’s son on Breaking Bad.) Sometimes I will use a wheelchair to make things easier but I do have a little bit of muscle mass in my legs that I don’t want to lose.

Now that you know that, what I’m about to explain took place on the second Jericho Cruise. After one of the cruise events, I got into an elevator with MJF and a few other guys. Immediately MJF says “Wow you really take up a lot of space with those things, huh?” and the other wrestlers/guests around laughed. At this point I’m not even processing yet and everything is sort of a blur. We separate and then later on I’m going down the hallway just as he is and he says in his signature tone something like “Wow, seriously?”

I don’t know how to explain my feeling for the rest of the trip but I can tell you that I never went back on the cruise. I’m also not skinny so he could’ve just made a fat joke. Also, keep in mind that I work a full-time job at a hotel and this cruise was on my vacation time. I’m not going to act like I was a giant AEW fan because that would be dishonest but maybe subconsciously it did drive me away from the product. So, what do you think? Does this just come with the territory of sharing space with wrestlers with gimmicks? Am I over-analyzing what happened or potentially missing something? Please and thank you for any input.
