This fake virtue signaling is contrived as fuck. Simple fact is, people tune in for The Bloodline. It generates the biggest ratings, it generates the most social media clicks, it puts the most asses in seats. And that’s not just in WWE, it’s professional wrestling as a whole. The Bloodline segment was the most heavily promoted aspect of last night’s RAW and what the people wanted to see. No one that watched it said they did a bad job. Everyone thought it was a high quality segment that had the crowd losing their mind. It was over. It took up every second that it needed to, and everyone tuning in and everyone in the arena was happy that it was happening. Not one fucking person watching was wishing for it to be over so they could get to Becky and Bayley. It was only after they found out the segment “went long” that they complained. A segment as over as that never “goes long.” It lasts exactly as long as it needs to because that’s what’s best for business. Imagine if the Rock’s “this is your life” segment got cut short for a women’s match? Or even something as recent as the Festival of Friendship? People will remember that segment for a long ass time and it is going to directly impact the main event of the biggest wrestling pay per view this whole year.
