If you're not turning profit with your enterprise, it's literally a pet project. So yeah, Tony is literally buying toys here. Real people are his toys and he's playing on his big playground called AEW/ROH. This is why Vince is better. Not because he's or he isn't a rapist. But because when he saw WWE, he saw a corporation dedicated to make money. He didn't buy toys because he was always focused on turning profit. He hired employees because he knew he could make money with their help and he fired people because he realized those employees weren't turning profit. He saw wrestling for what it actually is, a fucking business.
So yeah, the one only difference between Vince and Tony is that Vince is a grown up adult and Tony is the representation of the adult manchild that just wants to keep being a child and playing forever.
