I grew up in Tennessee and watched a ton of WCW but we also rented WWF shit at Blockbuster and kept up with it too. I don't remember anybody fighting about which was better, that's newfag shit.
Most everyone flipped back and forth. It was the era of the "last channel" button on TV remotes -- you zoomers wouldn't understand.
Everybody did stop watching WCW in like 99 though, that did happen. But before that, most everyone watched both.
