I still haven't watched the two road-to shows, but there are at least parts I'm looking to get around to. Oiwa vs. O-Khan especially, but I really liked TMDK-gun and the Shooter vs. Naito build.

Wouldn't surprise me. I liked TMDK before and they only got better with ZSJ and Fujita who were already a dimes duo. Only thing I dislike about it is how much it sucks to see Zack in TMDK gear instead of his old black and gold. Feels like this is what I would've expected Zakku-gun to be, but then again he's away from Taichi so I suppose the loss of the Tekkers gear makes sense.

Someone asked me a couple of months back whether I prefer NJPW or NOAH's young lions, and Yano vs. Fujita from last year's crossover show totally slipped my mind. With this fresh in my head, I can confidently say I prefer Oiwa and Fujita out of them. Surprise surprise, given I'm a huge mark for them, but I think their character work in this match alone is fantastic. Just how they interact with each other and their opponents in the ring before the bell shows how great they are, in my opinion. It's a comparison that isn't entirely fair to Ozawa, considering he is much closer to Leube in terms of ring-age, but I'd say Leube beats him in terms of expression in the ring as well. I think Yano is good, but Oiwa and Fujita are already amazing storytellers.

Long time lurker but never have posted in one of these before, just wanted to give the genuinely best poster here a bump and ask a question.
I tried posting a thread asking this yesterday morning but it was probably the wrong place, this thread should be perfect.
A friend put me onto Kazusada Higuchi lately and I'm hooked, do you (or anyone in this thread, really) have any suggestions? I don't watch much puro so you can assume I haven't seen anything.

Based. I haven't watched a ton of Higuchi, but what I've seen is pretty amazing. I'd recommend:

I don't like NJPW bringing joshi onto their shows, and I feel the same about NOAH. I don't know about other people, but if I wanted to watch joshi, I would watch a joshi promotion. Right now, it just feels like it takes time from the main roster while also not giving the women time to shine. I'd be happy with cross-promotion with VTR's or crossover shows like Historic X-Over or Cyberfight Fest, personally.

I really don't get how you could watch this match and the one against Morris and not be a Thatcher believer. I'm not claiming he's main event material or anything (that Kaito match really wasn't all that) but he's a great midcard heel.
