everyone in this thread is retarded. The Bloodline story and now feud with KO and Sami (and Jey, potentially) is a personal one that doesn't need the titles involved whatsoever. At this point in time Cody's title chase is separate and has nothing to do with the Bloodline story. If anything the deeply personal feud and fraction in the bloodline is going to be a built in excuse for Roman to drop the belts to Cody since he'll be focused on Sami going forward.

Some of the best feuds never have anything to do with titles.

He already explained it on his promos previously, that Dusty wanted to be WWE (since they can't say WWF) champion, back then there was only one main belt the WWF championship belt (ie the gold eagle) since Dusty was gone by the time the WWE got the WHC it makes no sense for Dusty to be attached to it, specially when Dusty won the WHC back in JCP, like you can over explain all the details on why but you dilute the message that Dusty wanted to be WWE champion and he's fighting for that belt to honor him.

Getting titles involved it's just gonna ruin the story, it's gonna end up in some weak Sami title reign that will sore peoples view on him and people forget that Jay just gave his back to the bloodline right after Sami betrayed Roman, the implication is clear that Jay will have no one else to go but to KO and Sami specially Sami because he really likes him now, this is gonna turn in a Bloodline vs KO, Jay, Sami feud for sure and you don't want them hot potato the belts when this isn't even about the belts, it's about family, friends and betrayal it's a literal blood feud in an absence of real blood feuds for years.

Sami has never drawn a dime. It’s not because he hasn’t had opportunities…it’s because he’s ugly and goofy. He doesn’t deserve a Mania main event because he hasn’t earned it. He had to get a rub from the companies biggest act. Still needed the chads to like him. WWE has the proof already…a much better wrestler during a time when many more people watched had this Cinderella ride (and didn’t need a planned rub from the number one act to get there). The ratings died afterwards.

Give him a tag match with the other washed up Canadian puss and move on.

It's pretty simple, the guy holding both belts must lose at least once.

It's not a pain in the ass to undo. It'll be at Night of Champions Cody will work 2 matches, the way Rollins did with Cena and Sting. He'll drop the Universal title to Seth, who has done a lot of jobs for Cody and basically made Cody going into Wrestlemania season. He'll retain the WWE Title that same night against some jobber like Karrion Kross or something.
