Even in 2021, a year that didn't allow cheering, the blood of a wrestling show, they provided great kino with both Okada VS Ospreay matches, Tanahashi VS Ishii, Takagi VS Zack Sabre Jr, El Phantasmo VS Robbie Eagles and the great rise of Ren Narita, having very good matches with Ishii and SANADA
And now we have cheering back and we already started the year with a bang with Omega VS Ospreay

Is NJPW really losing Jay? He's one of the few guys I don't want to see anywhere else. He'll be just another guy in AEW and WWE would never let him work his style. He belongs in Japan.

Yeah, he's almost certainly going to WWE unfortunately.
I think he kind of fits the WWE mold better than guys like Prince Devitt and even AJ Styles did when they were signed to it, but it's hard to ever feel confident that WWE won't fuck someone up.

He would be good as hell in AEW and they definitely need a guy on his level at his age to invest in as a main eventer for 5-ish years. They're trimming some of the fat with their roster with contracts coming up (Kazarian went back to Impact etc) so I'm hoping Tony hands Jay a big fat deal if it means we still get to see my man on NJPW shows

Every time you put him in a singles match or a 2-on-2 tag match, he has a good to great match. Unless it's with Chase Owens or Tama Tonga.

I hated EVIL in the main event spot but love him in his current spot. He's real flexible and can be anywhere on the card believable. Don't want him to get the belt, though. Cheating antics main events should be kept as something that only happens once in a while, in my opinion.

Jay is easily a top guy but there's no way at AEW. They already have their guys they're grooming for that spot. He was would be lost in the same vaguish upper card but that Adam Cole and Hangman and Omega rest in.
