There was nothing about masculinity of any sort about the theme of the program, it was literally just EC3 and Braun mad that they got fired from WWE for the crime of not being Roman Reigns and that AEW wouldn't hire them. The entire point was to spite those two promotions and cause controversy through that. Mixed with a bit of Fight Club too but from someone that didn't even understand the movie and just liked seeing dudes fight.
