How is the leg drop a bad finishing move? It’s some 300 lb guy dropping a thick, muscular leg across your neck.

Hogan’s looked like he was floating for a bit before it connected, for extra impact. I saw a mf on Raw do a leg drop a couple years ago and he neither got the height or impact of Hogan’s leg drop.

Any move can be a finisher if all other moves in that match were comparatively weaker. Love Cody for the same reason. His finisher looks very weak and that's why he does it 3 times in a row.

It's a great finisher for someone that size but doing it might after night is gonna take its toll because of the Hulkster's mass. He's had tons of surgery and lost a bunch of height. He should have just used the Axe Bomber

There's no such thing as a bad finish.
In kayfabe, the wrestler giving it gives it well and at a time effective enough for the three-count.
Hogan's was the end of a sequence, anyway.

It's a pretty based finisher, actually. Hogan pulled it off after a sequence, but it could have been a surprise counter anyway, and there are a lot of ways to counter it.
Would like ot more if he made it a little bit snappier, but that wasn't in vogue in the eighties
