Why do AEW fans continually try to shit on TNA's legacy?

Because they envy that TNA appealed to casuals and had actual recognizable stars that were heavily featured and had actual characters and storylines in addition to all the flippy faggot x division shit. Even the former stars in AEW that were in TNA are so past their prime it's embarrassing. Dynamite on TBS draws worse ratings than Impact did during its decline period on Spike.

Because TNA had such an easier time to be successful when the wrestling business was more popular TV itself was more popular and it shit the bed and now AEW is doing a much better job of getting over on TV and with wrestling being less popular.

Most AEW fans are TNA and Impact fans. You're wrong. Both AEW and TNA are the spiritual successors to WCW. I think the argument is that TNA needed Hogan, Savage, Flair, Nash, Hall, and many other legends to be a big deal but AEW is doing it with homegrown organic talent.

The thing is with this era of TNA, they were barely pulling 10k in PPV buys, for whatever reason AEW has found that level of fans that buy PPVs.

AEW instantly peak TNA's peak PPV buyrate by a large margin and while it's great for AEW it's so weird TNA was never able to get people to buy the PPV.

That's actually quite interesting.

Another thing to consider is that at their peak TNA were doing monthly ppvs while AEW do quarterly, the aggregate numbers for the whole year are still in AEW favour but not by that much.

People talk about AEW as though it's miles ahead of TNA but while it's true that they have much better live attendance, in terms of recognition, especially on a global level the picture is more balanced

Yeah they had better ratings. They should’ve. More people were watching cable tv then. That’s like if an aew fan bragged about having higher youtube views now than they did compared to them. The roster they brag about is guys collecting a check once they left wwe and aj styles. Wow so fucking great. Remove the wwe/wcw/ecw guys and its all literally who’s. At least jericho and cody took a chance with aew and helped it grow from the start and didn’t just go because they had nowhere else. And most people who were in tna couldnt even make a living wage. That’s actually pathetic. Even the jobbers who are on full time contracts aren’t working part time somewhere else and if they are its still wrestling related. Wwe can’t even get the same amount of views tna did at their peak.
The only thing tna actually had going for it was the womens division and that was only because wwe didn’t care at all about their own at the time. That’s the only thing they really have better than aew imo.
