Modern Americans are literally unable to appreciate technical wrestling. It's why every technical wrestler either severely tones their technical style down (Bryan Danielson) or goes to Japan (Zack Sabre Jr)

the only problem with him looks-wise is that he has zero idea how to emote. he makes great faces but his timing of them in the match is so wildly off you actually notice that he's acting weird
