Every new hot champ gets tangled with Mark Sterling for few weeks for no fucking reason instead of building up and teasing a proper feud with a equal or higher power level challenger. Swerve and Keith, as mediocre as they came as a tag, had something going on, and having multiple bouts made it interesting. The story exists in the conflict, not the resolution.
Acclaimed could have done some title defenses to some midcart jobber teams, rub some spotlight on them and have another top card heel team teasing interference and challenging them to a fight next week... instead, you got "I'm gonna trademark scissoring" Sterlings patented heat cooling angles - which by all accounts seem to be some retarded inside joke stemming from the actual legal department mocking someone trying to pull trademarks from under them or something. It's the same formula that cooled off Wardlow. It's a fucking inconceivable to anyone watching that Sterling would ever come on top of these angles because he is worthless and unwatchable so not even shock booking has value here. So overall they are just wasting weeks of valuable time trying to get something that was over, the scissoring, over enough to get those foam fingers on stock at the store.
Then its followed by needless self-gratification ceremonies : Scissoring day, Hollywood markee, just to appear on TV but not actually have matches.
