Darby is just some skinny skater that showed up on their doorstep one day, he still can't talk after three years but his nihilistic doomer presentation fits his self-destructive wrestling style, so that's the niche he's built for himself. He's the small guy that takes a bunch of spine-destroying bumps for a couple years to make strong guys look strong, but his presentation is cool enough to keep him from being a total jobber. So he's a midcard bump guy that people just want to see get ragdolled around but still maybe win somehow.
