The PG Era was the worst thing to happen to WWE and by extension, wrestling as a whole. It was so fucking terrible. A medium about big muscled grown men and women beating the shit out of each other should NOT be kid-friendly and sanitized. I honestly believe it was what really killed any kind of growth and popularity wrestling could ever achieve again since the 90s/early 2000s.
