If the rumors about the game going over budget and needing more investment and Omega butting heads with Yuke's are true, they need to decide between 2 bad options.
1) Pull a Cyberpunk 2077 and release a barebones game with most of the promised content missing, possibly with glaring bugs and glitches all over the place. Obviously, selling a $30 game for $79.99 would get them tons of heat from disgruntled players and the gaming media would tear them to shreds, ensuring that the game takes a loss and making more AEW games becomes unfeasible because nobody trusts them anymore.
2) Keep pumping more money into the game and hope for the best. Need to have X feature in the game as promised to the fans by Omega? Insert money. Need to have the game out sooner than projected? Insert money. The game will take a huge loss but at least players will be satisfied.
