Hunter desperately wants to bring The Revival back to the WWE. A big money offer has been made to them, more than any other tag team currently on the roster (more than the Usos and The Good Brothers and New Day combined). No creative control, though Hunter is swearing up and down that he won't fuck them over like Tony has and is pledging that if they come back, he'll have them dethrone the Usos and take the take belts off of them/let them float between brands and have a lengthy reign.

Hunter has also stated that he wants to pair them with Edge, who wants to work with FTR and the idea that Edge might re-up his contract for less money/more appearances so that he can do the angle with FTR being his version of the Good Brothers showing up as his back-up against Judgement Day.

Under this scenario, AJ Styles will be positioned for a world title run, which will be doable with Roman and Heyman no longer in the title picture, blocking AJ from working a world title program. AJ will go heel and will have a lengthy program with Cody as he's willing to play villain to help solidify Cody as the new top guy.
