I think it's important to note that last couple of times we've seen him, Duke hasn't been doing shit to sabotage the team because everyone just thinks he's a snake in the grass. He's started incorporating some of the Chase U stuff into his routine, got them in the qualifier, got a win without cheating, and then came up short in the title without any obvious heel signs. And guess what, last night was the first time he started to get a positive reaction.
If they cut out all the shit everyone expects and just have him buy in to being the retarded Kool-Aid man, you can make this work with him. Chase is the promo, workhorse and the heater. Thea is autistic energy bunny, Duke is the wrecking ball that sets up the finish. It can work.
