Why was he palling around the Bloodline at all? Why wouldn't he just hand Roman the chair or beat up Fat Kev when he had already beat him up and gave him up to the Bloodline back at Blood and Guts? For being the best storyline ever, there sure are glaring holes in the logic.

It's a classic "the devil you know is better than the devil you don't" thing
Kevin has been an asshole to Sami but he's the asshole he grew up with and has loved as a brother in a way that the Bloodline love each other but not Sami, because he'll always be an outsider.
