There's no good reason AEW fans should hate Cornette. He only ever buries The Elite, who are shoot faggots. The rest is just him wanting AEW to do better. He has little good to say about WWE at all.

Cornette makes more money off being the Official Anti-AEW voice than he did as the mouthpiece for the WWF World Heavyweight Champion. It's a fucking work. Except for comments on Buck and Omega, a lot of what he says is actually constructive criticism wrapped in vitriol to make it entertaining.

I always hear Cornette go back to this criticism about how guys like Omega want to be video game characters. It just sounds out of touch. Wrestlers would lift gimmicks from television and movies all the fucking time. Like how is acting like a street fighter character worse than sting or the road warriors or ripping off a hair band in the 80s? It’s the same shit. Wrestlers just take lift things from pop culture, he’s just unfamiliar with video games so it pisses him off.
