>>8892964I agree with ya about the vocals 100%, plus this was the era where he decided to go all out with the crazy high pitched screams and destroy his vocal chords, so putting them that loud was just excessive. I think the guitar effects were cool though because this was 2008, almost a decade after ATDI, so naturally Omars guitar playing was probably at its peak here, both in technical terms and also effects usage. It was never as crazy after this album (imho). I say fair play on the guitar and horns, but bad mixing on everything else.
Come to think of it, I feel like they just tried to pack so many different layers of shit into the mix, there were probably 100 tracks of instrumentals on each song. How do you mix that? Its always going to sound a bit overfilled.
