It won't be wildly different but I do expect it to be an upgrade. Bryan Williams returning to the dev team for the first time since 2k19 is a good sign. He confirmed there's going to be 27 different AI logic sliders for each wrestler that determines their playstyle. No more dumb shit like Kevin Nash going for 20 top rope dives a match. Good.

I’m not stuck in a boomer bubble. I enjoy the 2K games, particularly the one with beat the streak and the 30 years of Wrestlemania. I think the one with either AJ or Seff on the cover was peak, which is why they kept the servers up until 2022 despite it being 4 years old at that point. They knew it was a shit show and instead of correcting course they doubled down on it. Thank god it’s free on PSPlus so I didn’t have to pay for it.

I don't understand why the roster is such a big deal for you guys. If you're claiming 2k22's roster is stacked, well that says more about the power of the WWE license and the names they have access to than the actual game itself. If you're saying otherwise, well creation modes have advanced to the point where you can just download a custom version of any other popular wrestler you want that's extremely accurate save for some esoteric details like entrance music.

Truly gay my brother. they knew that they couldn’t use Yuke’s system anymore after 2K20, everyone knew, it was no secret Yuke’s was going to do a Non-WWE game and taking their framework with them, before AEW was even a thing. They had all the time in the world plus an entire extra year with no release and these work from home faggots just welded the controls from Wrestlemania: The Arcade Game ‘95 to a stripped down version of their last release. I’m sure the board said not to worry. WWE fans will suffer any indignity.

Why does the community have to create something that should just be in the game? That was in previous games and they still control the licenses for? I’m not talking about guys who left for AEW. I’m talking about guys still under legends deals? If you’re going to be lazy, why not do the bare minimum and leave in old already recorded commentary, intro’s etc. That way when the community creations cover for you they don’t seem as out of place. Playing with 2 Characters on the roster is objectively a better experience than Created Content.

And after 1 month I am loving it. The customization is insane and so is downloadable characters by the community

I love playing Rey's biggest matches. This is fucking awesome when they throw actual clips.

Roster is stacked as is.

Shit I hate:
Can't use customized myRise character in online matches
It sometimes takes like 15 minutes to get into a fucking online match lobby. Once I played 2 matches after a whole 1hr 30 min since it freezes or kicks me out randomly as it's loading
Sometimes it crashes and says AI is replacing everyone

In general ddo not regret my purchase

There's tons of shit you could do in 2k19 that you flatout can't do in 2k22. Tons of shit in 2k22 is just straight up broken and never got fixed. And if you go back to say 2k13 or 2k14? Way more shit you could do.

Take it from me, a guy with over 200 hours in WWE2k22: it's a piece of shit. It's at the end of its development cycle and they break more of the game with every shitty patch, which is just them pushing their pay to win FIFA trash card game MyFaction which nobody even fucking plays.

Let's take a look at some cool bugs still in the game almost a year after release
>tag finishers just don't work in Universe mode, at all, period
>can't select Random Attire in Universe mode, still
>can't change tag finishers, or edit them, the game refuses to save changes to this
>if you edit a Rivalry Match to change the type of match, it will just end the Rivalry entirely, even if you pick a compatible match type
>all Universe save files instantly corrupt when there's a new patch so you have to start over
>can't pick a custom arena reliably, will always revert to Raw 2019 arena no matter how many times you edit the arena/show in Universe
>load times are still 3-5 minutes with an SSD for custom matches with edits despite the game taking up like 150gb of space
>bug where you can get stuck in an infinite loading screen when you're editing attires, only way to fix is to completely uninstall/reinstall the game and delete your saves
>game still has "secret" unused entrances for characters like The Rock and Triple H, their Attitude Era entrances etc, which can only be seen in the pay to win MyFaction mode, they will take them down from community creations/corrupt the CAW if someone uploads them
>team is notorious for just ignoring support tickets/copy pasting automated responses

>latest update was 39gb
>no bugs addressed
>was entirely a MyFaction update
People who actually play this game fucking hate it and this is just the tip of the iceberg, I could type about how shit this game is and how many of its features it hasn't delivered on all fucking day.

Not really.
The game is about 39GB. They just literally push the entire thing to steam and then force you to download the entire 39GB for what would hypothetically be maybe a few MB worth patch.
They've been doing this with the game since it released. I know this because my internet is shit.
You're also not mentioning stuff like
>16GB in your fucking appdata folder you cannot remove otherwise it bricks the game entirely
>Still year old bugs from like 2k15 still in the game where you get stuck running the ropes and can only exit out of the game
>Creation Suite still crashes every 5 fucking minutes
>Forced to reduce your image sizes and stuff to the absolute minimum so your save file doesn't go over a ridiculously low amount and brick the entire Universe mode as a whole
>Some moves are straight impossible to reverse and has completely ruined online and singleplayer difficulty
>Features have straight been taken out of the game since launch for being bugged and they've just left them out to this day
>GM mode is just random shit and literally does not matter, nothing fun or replayable about it
>Community Creations is useless because downloading a few wrestlers will lead to you potentially going over the size limit
>MyFaction is literally the only thing that they update the game for nowadays

There's no entrances in MyFaction so there's no way to see those hidden entrances if you don't resort to modding or CC. Which is retarded. Why put them there if nobody will see them? And why not put entrance attires on the wrestlers you unlock from Showcase (whose entrances CAN be seen)?
