>>8927176Katakuri might be the only example of a guy who had his undefeated streak ended and actually got more over. I think it's an exaggeration to say the company is getting Kwab'd even though business is a little down with the new arc, Oda is a tremendous booker but he does really a lot on tropes and I think it earns some of his faces unneeded heat. The company still has Blackbeard and Akainu on the sides waiting for their big money matches and those guys are both huge draws. One Piece will struggle to live up to the gate it's aiming for but I think Oda has built a great group of workers here and although I doubt it'll be the greatest final arc ever, I think it'll still draw the house and earn acclaim.

Naruto was put on the map by good brodcasting deals in the west alongside great early feuds and promos, Itachi vs. Sasuke, Orochimaru vs. Third Hokage, these were hot feuds, not to mention that Kakashi Hatake, man never got his due, was always in the upper midcard but the guy was the one the fans wanted for top babyface, when he talked you shut up and listen but Kishimoto pushed Naruto so hard the fucking whole thing was named after him and for the first 300 shows no one cared about this orange geek, he wasn't anywhere near as ovar as Kakashi or Sasuke and the fact the fans grabbed onto Lee more than him tells you everything. If they didn't get that early Network slot so kids could watch before school, delusional fans like yourself wouldn't even know of the show.
