An alternative for wrestlers, for managers, for producers, for anyone who isn't feeling like WWE works for them, AEW is supposed to give them a different way to do things.
Now you can argue that the product is the same shit, rejects, dumb storylines, bla bla bla, but the focus is different. The focus of AEW is on the wrestling. You always get plenty of wrestling. And you get people that say

If you despise watching wrestling in a wrestling show and just want the dumb storylines then by all means, watch WWE. But don't demand the same from AEW. It's an alternative. There are other stuff that the focus on like creativity for the wrestlers or more violent matches but that's a different thing.
