TNT chose to put it in the death slot from the start. It does decently well for that slot, but it's clear TNT doesn't care about making it a full on second show. Tony isn't going to put a ton of effort into it since it's super cheap to just tape an additional hour after Dynamite. TNT is 90% to blame.

Only diehard fans are going to watch at 10pm on a Friday. The ratings have been higher in the past, but that was circumstantial and not sustainable.

For me it’s because it’s a B-Show where mostly nothing of note takes place and if something does happen or there’s a match or segment I just have to see, I can find it on YT or download it.
I’m usually doing shit on Friday night.

The last episode I watched live was Shibata vs Orange and I pretty much turned it off afterwards. They wanted their “Smackdown” but they don’t have the large habitual viewerbase for it to justify its existence. AEW has about 300k-500k habitual viewers, WWE has about 700k-900k who will follow them wherever.

Ultimately, I think coming on before Smackdown would help it tremendously.

Completely wrong. The first Rampage did over 1 milly. A lot of people are willing to watch TV at 10pm on a Friday night if you give them a reason to. The problem is Tony isn't giving anyone a reason to watch Rampage.
