Why can't AEW make any compelling babyfaces while WWE has the two hottest babyfaces in wrestling at the same time? They've completely dropped the ball on Daniel Bryan somehow.

Sami got the main event babyface spot as a reaction to him getting especially strong reactions from the crowd. Danielson gets fairly good reactions as well, and the crowd likes him, but he wasn't booked in the main event spot because the crowd likes him more than everybody else (there are other people who arguably get better reactions), he got that spot because Tony Khan decided that's who he wanted to feud with his new champ.

AEW constantly has babyfaces who get over naturally with the crowd. But then they get stuck in a seemingly never-ending feud with Jericho's faction, or run a gauntlet that MJF sets on them, or worse yet they sit at home while a ROH cameo shows up to be beaten by a heel, and the reactions dull.
