Baliyan Akki has a wealth of cultural references to draw from that can inform his in-ring persona, including but not limited to Dhalshim, Tiger Jeet Singh, Jinder Mahal, Yoga, Garam Masala, Kalaripayat, Curry. Yet he seems complacent with being a mere cornerman for women's wrestlers. I'm sure casual fans wonder "why is that Indian man coming to the ring with that small Japanese woman?" For the uninitiated, the sight of might can be jarring, perplexing even. It's best to give fans something easier to understand. I'm wondering where his male pride is. I'd like to see him make more of an effort to stand out on his own instead of just being in Emi Sakura and Mei Suruga's shadow.
