God I wish marks would get the clue already that not every wrestlers gonna be a breakout star the minute they walk in.
Crowd was excited to see Gunter + Moss is a basically on a new guy build again = It was a guaranteed Moss jobbing to begin with, no point rolling over a good IC champ just because guy got new pants two weeks ago or something.
Good match though, good show case for both but that's all there is to it for now.

Not so much boring as he is impersonal. It was really obvious when he dropped the suspenders from his gear that he didn't have a persona above "that guy who wrestles wearing suspenders" and became background noise. He already had a kind of a gimmick that was known and it turned into "I am man who angry at Corbin and will crush him". He's got some moves though, give it time.

Madcap won a number 1 contenders match but the story is more so about the crowd turning on him and what he does after. He says he lost fair and stars owning up to it only for his gf to tell him he actually should've won and it's the crowd/refs fault and he immediately backtracks and agrees. It was the start of a heel turn
