>>9034101HBK is a fuckup at this point, because he's only teaching "what the kids want", a cuckoldry to shareholder and marketing interests. Logan Paul was taught the correct way, in a short time, by HBK so we know HBK is holding back on what NXT receives. This marketing pressure hinges on the network licensing, which is going to implode any year now because of the death of network TV. Vince wants to sell WWE before it loses its value when it loses its network deals. Vince is too old to figure out how to wean WWE off networks and stay the billion dollar empire.
Figure out how WWE can ditch the network format, stay relevant, and stay profitable. It may be some kind of unforeseen chimera of streaming and social media that has to be invented as the new format of WWE for the 21st century. Once this is undertaken, pressure is alleviated off what can be taught for national ring work.
Right off the bat, an easy choice to fix shit is cut the fat on the roster. If you can't talk on the mic and you can't perform holds and grapples, GTFO. 1/3 of the women's roster is dead weight. Half of what's left is basically eye candy, and the other half need to improve their mic and work skills. The men's roster isn't horrific so much as not fucking used. When there's 5 minutes of screentime bloat against 5 minutes of actual wrestling, it's no wonder the talent has no time to do anything. Network advertising is KILLING the show, when networks only care about ad revenue.
