he used to be a creatively offensive good-hearted dude with a never-say-die attitude that allowed him to either put away the goliaths to his david, or almost die trying, who lost his edge.
he always fights for what he personally believes is right and just even if to everyone else he comes off like a schizo or an asshole (his heel run)
he joined the bloodline because he wanted validation after having lost his edge and become far less brave, giving him a real purpose in putting himself in harms way for a family that really cares about him, only for him to realize that the head of the family treats them all like lapdogs instead of brothers, and has now, through this angle, found his once unkillable spirit once again. Without the bloodline, he wouldnt have had the found family character development but we can hypothesize all we want about what would or wouldnt happen
