I think it's more of a case of No Milly Philly realizing that his time was up. Injuries, turning the locker room into a miserable place, destroying AEW, and never scoring a million viewers when he was the main focus. His return was a huge flop, but his ego wouldn't let him accept that and course correct.

Are you actually such a dumb mark that you think Jim Cornette's philosophy of wrestling is in any way unique? Tons of Gen Xers and older guys have the same, no nonsense mentality of the business. People like Omega and the Bucks are the outliers. Which is why they're currently running WCW 2.0 (kinda insulting since AEW is nowhere near as popular as WCW was at its peak) right into the ground.
