How would you get new guys over? If you've got a 3.5 PPV that's enough for most of the feuds that take up TV time but you can't build a new guy up and get his moves over by him standing in the ring or talking to Byron Saxton about how devastating his DDT or whatever is.
Why would a crowd come along to a live event? Forget TV shows, there would be no house shows any more either.
