Unironically I think it's the match length. They've been doing the same stuff since the start, but early on they didn't get long matches, so they actually had to pick up the pace, thus putting on more convincing spots instead of standing around waiting for their spots at a turtles pace. It's contrarian to say they were ever good around, but at least I hope people can agree that they used to be better.
