Every once in a while and then I stop and think about just how shitty the industry is anywhere you choose to go. I once attended a small indie show and after seeing how simple it was, seriously considered promoting a show locally. I couldn't make the maths work unfortunately, or rather it wasn't enough potential profit to make it worth the time output instead of family time. But promoting a micro indie show in the local "high school gym" type place is still on the bucket list once my kids are a little older

I've thought about it especially as there's a school 20-30 minutes up the road from me. I also think about how the past few years I've been getting into shape and I went to a New Japan show once and I was taller than the majority of the wrestlers there. But I step back and realise it's an awful business and you'd have to have something wrong in your head for you to think taking bumps is a good way to make a living (doubly so if you do it on the side because it pays like shit)

I trained for a bit until I discovered my trainer was a pedo and making chloroform porn. I’m 6’4” and once was pretty jacked in high school and college playing football. I’m still young but don’t have the energy to get jacked again, spend months training to even be ok, take retarded bumps from manlet tryhards, all to get paid a subway sandwich and go back to my full time job.
