Honestly. Most people got into aew because it wasn’t wwe. A couple guys here and there would have been fine like during the pandemic where they only brought in a few like miro, brodie lee and such. Tony just went wild once he started touring and hired everyone who was out of work. And to make things worse he did the same with fucking roh. Nobody watched that thats why they went bankrupt

To counter that point, he was able to make dark a 2 hour show with mostly job matches and they had tons of jobbers. Tons of people that were unknowns or up and coming indie talent. They did hire a couple but if they had space for the dozens of nxt shitters they could have easily gotten cheaper, younger and possibly more loyal wrestlers on the roster. A move like that would honestly have been better since it would get more people interested in watching dark and would have fostered a work environment of getting over organically and having people move up in the company. Now it’s like if you were ever in wwe you get get a spot. Look at swerve and keith lee. Barely a couple months in the company and they got the fucking tag belts just for being there. Toni storm got to be the womens champ a couple months in as well. More people who have been in the company if anything fall down the card the longer they stay like eddie kingston, ricky starks and darby allin. It’s why people like moments like these and get excited when “random shitters” get a moment in the sun.
tldr tony had a huge pool of talent but chose to push nxt guys instead

I think you picked the worst 2 NXT guys because they just werked together. Sure it was kinda random at first cuz all they did was have a beef with team Taz, but they had great chemistry with each other, and they had great chemistry with The Acclaimed which helped push them higher. Now Swerve is a good ratings guy and I suspect Keith will be (providing he's okay)

For the rest of your points: Darby is attached to sting for the rest of the year now, he's gonna be there with him for his retirement run, and that's cool for him, getting to be a part of 2 legends retirements in the same year, and after that if TK doesn't try and push him higher, then he has to be worried about Darby's extreme sports shit, there would be zero other explanation. Ricky sadly feels like he's NEARLY there, but every time he falls just a little flatter than he should. Eddie is a bit of a basket case, but that's also what makes him so good when he's in the right place.

I've said for months that TK struggles to book FG > Revolution, so I'm interested to see what happens at and immediately post Revolution.
