This is a little out of the usual conversation, but what about Apple? Their streaming service lacks any real draws outside of Ted Lasso, and that's a midcarder compared to other companies' attractions. They have enough cash on hand to run the company for 10 years without any income at all.

There isn't a company stupid enough to think they can make a reasonable rate of return on investment with fucking wrestling for that kind of cash.
Pro wrestling is a multi million dollar enterprise at best. Sure as hell isn't worth a billion dollars, let alone several.

Yeah, it's a 19 billion dollar company. No one has had the impact on sports and entertainment like Vince McMahon and WWE. They basically invented TV shows as we know it today, and no one has more compelling characters and stories. And guess what? They have to do it three times a week without any season breaks. Better than any "prestige show" on Heeb-BO or Gay-MC, that's certain.

I hope the Saudi government realizes that them owning WWE would decimate the value of the company. People can accept doing a couple shows a year in their country on their payroll, but actually being owned by Saudi Arabia would turn off a lot of people.

Amazon seems like a perfect buyer to me. Probably more people pay for Amazon Prime than cable TV these days, they have streaming in place to air weekly shows, and when the Peacock deal ends they can move all the WWE Network content over there. They would also care more about the success of the business than a government would, which I would think Vince would care about.

They paid a lot of money to air weekly NFL games. WWE would give them three weekly shows, more when they add NXT Europe, and a bunch of loyal fans who will watch every single episode. Probably more fans than they have now, since younger people often don't pay for cable.
