The more I hear about this the more it seems like the entire thing was a work to be totally honest. Either it was a work all along or it's a work now. Then again I thought Cody leaving was a work too. Then again I feel like Cody leaving could still be a massive work and if he came back after winning at Mania...that'd really be something.

The main argument about it being a work is that it makes Tony look like a bellend and AEW look poorly run. But so did the whole "MJF no showed a fan meet and then called his boss a mark" stuff, so I dunno
