theory:
I believe Vince put Kofi in this position as a test, hoping he would confront him afterwards to call him out thus proving that he’s not a coward and deserving of another shot at being the champion. Since Kofi did not do this, he did the same thing to Big E as another test which was failed as well, as all members of the New Day just kept their heads down instead of calling out this shit booking.
