Yeah maybe, but I still think it felt really sterile. The announcers had scripted improv, the fans were scripted, it just all was very weird. Maybe I'm just not entirely on board with what they're doing and need to see more, but it just seemed like a weird atmosphere.

This was the drizzling shits. The wrestling was god awful, the camera work was horrific (a camera man on the apron? wtf), they did a bunch of disorienting camera cuts but didn't even hide many moves that didn't hit, and the ref looked like he was shoot retarded, couldn't even get into the right position to count pins.

They're going for adult swim does a wrestling show, but to properly hit it home they need a really dry commentator who actually knows what he's talking about but treats everything completely seriously no matter how absurd things get.

Also get an actual ref going forward and make sure they have a personality to make him an entertaining recurring character. He's just going to hire guys from the Florida indies anyway so may as well hire one to throw on a ref shirt rather than just having his friend who can do a Vince impression stand awkwardly in the corner not knowing what the fuck to do..

If they're not planning on signing any known names, why not partner with a wrestling school for this? Showcase their most promising students and give the school a lot of positive exposure, while getting decent wrestlers and a place to do the shows. Nah, pin attempts are supposed to be important that sell that a move was important enough the wrestler thought they could end the match with it. Especially since Charlie wasn't even Joe Rogan-ing it where he's freaking out at every move to sell the "intensity" of the action in the ring. He aught to pay a Death Match wrestler or at someone that isn't afraid to take bumps to come on as one of the guys to really sell the offense.

What was the budget for this? It's probably in the dude's garage and everyone other than the wrestlers are his friends who probably worked for free. And no way those wrestlers got much, maybe even just a hot dog and a handshake. Most of the money was probably spent on the ring.
If they put some money into it to get a few competent people to steer them in the right direction it might have potential.

I doubt Moist Cr1tiKal has a deep enough knowledge of the industry to do something like that. There's a non-zero chance that Charlie's rather viral react videos to Russian power slap competitions is the reason why people like Dana White thinks there's enough interest to invest in his own PS league, so if he commits to this he might revive interest in pro-wrestling amongst Zoomers (and younger, remember most Zoomers are in their 20's now)

I was wondering if maybe he could have some connections in the industry, considering some wrestlers stream on twitch and interact with e-celebs, but I guess not because if he did he probably would've reached out and this show would've been a lot better.
