The issue here is WWE is so great bc it integrates the wrestlers into a continuous reality of backstage and in ring. It’s the magic aew can’t get and will never get. The same thing ROH WCW TNA were too retarded to get right.
But the issue here is if he isn’t self contained he loses that bigger aura bc he’s not the champ. If he became champ he’d integrate because he then has a proper spot to be dominant above the other guys.
It’s like if Finn was always the demon. You’d have to self contain his stories from the rest of the roster so the magic stays. The reason the demon worked was because Finn could integrate while the demon is a myth that lives amongst the world. No one ignores it. It’s odd no one else is saying WTF THERES A FUCKING DEVIL HERE or why Knight loses then forgets about it. The demon was always in characters minds. Its like bray wants you to be shocked each time.
In my mind the thing killing him is not expanding. Get bliss in the group already. Don’t need the Wyatt family exact vibe but him not having other members that can build up proper storylines so that when the opponent gets to him as the final boss is a big deal. He needs bliss and some other guys maybe a Gacy call up to help keep his mystique but integrate his stories.
