WWE is sanitized, exactly as you said. They have a room of writers writing for censors, they have a complex of trainers training every idiosyncrasy an shred of personality out of every performer that appears on camera.
AEW is less perfect, yes, because it takes risks that WWE is afraid to take anymore. Risks that WWE shareholders won't let it take anymore.
If you just want homogenized gloss, fine, watch WWE. But understand what you're watching and why, don't just assume you're getting the whole story from a webm.
