I watched wwe/f In 2002 and hhh was poison when he was champ. His feud with Shawn at summerslam was dimes but giving him the big gold belt the night after he lost a street fight to a guy who had been retired for over 4 years then having him beat rvd who was white hot was stupid when hbk lost the title back to hhh after only a month I stopped watching for nearly eight years

I don’t care about belts per se but the champ is the focus of the show and in the main event. I had a problem with hhh being the face of the company from wrestlemania 18 to wrestlemania 22. He was good in the upper midcard when he was undertakers wrestlemania 17 opponent I felt he deserved it and if he had of won I’d have felt like he deserved that too.

It's funny because Paul didn't even lose at King of the Ring, it was Vince who got pinned which is what ended the Rock HHH feud. Then HHH buried Jericho at Fully Loaded and turned face and headlined another 3 PPV's that year (Summerslam, Survivor Series, Armageddon)
