Well yeah it's natural to be defensive of your own work but there is a line just be wary of that and don't take any if it too seriously. I post what I post and never claim it to be kino or the best thing ever. If people like it then so be it and if they don't I ask and gauge what they didn't like about it. Like how some anons didn't get the story about the cult sacrifice through the posts and were confused, I sat back and thought why it didn't come across clearly and how I can do better and improve how to tell the story so it's clearer.

Obviously if you want to start building towards the next show you can but many of us will probably be taking a short break from the storytelling side for a day or two and just casual post for the time being. I will get some wiki updates done later today so if you want to add your rookie waifu to it then now's the time. Solid reminder that nothing is canon to your waifu unless you say so and all I'm going to say on the guro poster is that they seem to now understand not to post hardcore guro which was my sole gripe with it in the first place. If anything I think 3 waifus have a claim for a match and one waifu does not because of how they fit in that matches finish. Also two of those three have one of the better fueds on here but the person that isn't them definitely has a right to be salty and have a match. I say triple threat lol. Waifus Collide After Action Report (AAR)

For me this whole shindig started after I noticed that 2K22 was on sale a few weeks ago, which would be shortly after I entered these threads (Around when the inaugural tournament was rolling). I got inspired to run the sims after 2K22anon's stellar work with the CAW's. I was also very surprised by Zunianon calling out MM, even though I hadn't interacted much with the rest of the roster up to that point. But I digress.

So I got to making the CAW's with a few other anons, leading to Surfer Girl first, followed by the rest. Eventually someone began to suggest running an actual event. The name Waifus Collide began to pop up and a preliminary match card began to naturally evolve from all the shitposting we do.

I took a gamble by taking on gradually more and more responsibility, especially when I started to sim matches myself (With some minor technical difficulties during the first few things matches). And at some point I ran the event solo. Now let me run down the card and give you my experience with the match from an 'event runner' standpoint.

>AW and BIG GAL V Minnie Moo.

This had been building for a while, and it felt wrong to leave it off the card. Yet it seemed like a good pre-show match to me, a good appetizer for the rest of the card. Hence the the birth of the pre-show.

>Spaghettidog V Mystery Opponent.
This match is on the card because I made Spaghettidog's CAW and I wanted people to see his entrance. For his opponent I was thinking either just a simply person in a monkey costume, then to Nikki Kade's stalker, but that would have to mean making another Dog CAW because intergender matches are now allowed in 2K22. Then I realized on the day of the sim that The Dog has been with Zunimposter, who already had a CAW ready. Et Presto. When the pre-show was made, this was the match that I was doubting the most about, but it felt wrong to have just a single match on the pre-show. (1/?)

I am the anon behind the waifu I think most people are expecting the big promo from, and I've got the whole thing ready to go. I am just waiting until tomorrow (my time, ~12 hours from now) just to make sure everyone is up to date. I for one also will enjoy taking a small break from the big grind. My waifu's progression will continue obviously but I got some ideas for down the road that I'd probably even try to incorporate you in. Cause i don't think you are the winner. And I know I can tell my story with you, so that it can postpone and prolong a story with x keep you where you want to be give you heat and keep our fued going as well. But thats down the road a ways, until then I'm going to be cutting promos very much in character until I run my idea by you and see how you like it.
But if you are the winner than well I got you, or story is not over a fatal fourway that ends fishy is not the end of this. Whether it happens at spaghetti showdown or at a later date whether there's a title or not. So I look forward to cutting some promos but I do stress that they are in character and will exist for story progression.

A rookie show sounds like a horrible idea to me because that's gonna be days of everyone else not really being able to advance stuff. Just let them integrate the same way everyone else did with exhibition matches.

Originally I had set on 2 matches per day, fitting in with the 2 simmed matches per thread that I usually posted. But fellow anons said that it would be quite slow. And in retrospect, I agree. I'm very happy that I went with 3 matches per day instead.

To whomever suggested this, I love you. But also fuck you. It made sense to have it, but it gave me soooo much work creating the CAW's. I've lost a night of sleep over this match by itself, of who should be in it, in what order, potential winners. Who would make the most sense to open. Let alone the issues I had running the simulation. This is the match that I had to re-record the most due to technical issues that made it impossible for the rumble to end. I could feel my poor PC rig chug trough it at some point. But it survived, thank god. I did not expect Kuro to win the rumble (Had my money on Pizza Girl or Punk Elf). But it makes for interesting storytelling.

PK and Lillith V The Meganekko Powers:
Made sense to be on the card, RRanon and PKanon have been knocking out of the park with their character building, and it was time for the Meganekkos to have some relief. Not entirely happy with how their CAW's turned out, but it's the best I could do with their intricate designs.

A match I was worried about that if MM would have won, that everyone would call bullshit, since she's my creation. I'm very happy this match was recieved very well, and the way the match played out just made so much sense storyline wise. I'm very proud of this one. The right person won, IMO.

>Tag Team Title Match
Another one of those matches that I was woried about the logistics about due to the absence of Beera. The promos from the rest of the competitors knocked it out of the damn park. Tag matches are usually hit or miss, I've noticed when simming matches, but this was very much a hit to my relief.

On that topic without namedropping any of the main event anons who are anons you are interested in fueding with. You should focus on your fueds man, you built and fully realized your character, seamlessly integrated them into the shows, had a great rumble performance and follow up promos to really light a fire under your lily pad and I want to know who you are interested in fueding with.

That's the thing, it would not even be faster. Shows slow stuff down. We definitely need the big events but they don't need to be a regular thing. One a month at most.
When a show isn't going on people can start interacting, get a match simmed if their feud gets over and get established. When a show is going on everything that isn't on that show kind of goes on pause in terms of progression.

Based. Raging Red and Princess Knight were great foils to the Meganekkos WHILE they were doing their own intricate storylines. It's absolutely my favorite match because of all the complex stories and characters. Even Lillith shined as a conflicted character, though it's funny to see Lillithanon seethe because she lost, the story works better with PK not helping her in the end.

Exactly. These threads are at their best to me when we're in that storytelling with the occasional exhibition match phase. The big show is great for having lots of stuff come to a climax but it should be in no way shape or form a situation where we go from one straight to another. Let that shit breathe and spend the next month or so just having chill threads building stuff with the occasional exhibition match where needed here and there.
And on that note, so things at the top of the card don't become static and everyone there still has stuff to do do, title matches and such shouldn't be limited to the big shows. So really there would be no incentive to rush to another show.

One of the matches that wasn't on the first rendition of the card and was added in later at my request. It felt wrong to leave a feud that was hot hot hot to a potential next PPV in god knows how long, and with the promos shooting back and forth we had to have this match. Nikki's slide into insanity made it quite interesting that both competitors had a valid reason to win and to lose. Either result would have been perfectly acceptable with me. Hell in a Cell matches sim wise are really a hit or miss. They go either very well, or not that great. This one was...fine, I didn't mind the comedic spots of throwing each other around the steel steps.

Another one of those matches hampered by crummy AI. Because an AI will barely go and seek out weapons UNLESS they are spawned in already, then they gladly make use of it. Still, a perfectly fine match. I love, love Nefertiti's CAW however. She really stands out compared to the rest of the roster.

>IC title match
With switching from 2 matches per day to 3 matches per day, I had to throw around the order juuust a bit to make this one a day finale. One of the matches that I think having put the AI difficulty to legendary made the match quite short, this because they're very good at the unbuckling minigame. The match would probably have lasted a bit longer. Result is fine though. I would have been fine with any of these characters winning the title. Maddie is one of my favorite CAW's that I made (One of the other being BIG GAL)

>Semi-Main event:
A feud a long time in the making, Farmer Girl's promo was FIRE FIRE FIRE. I made Farmer Girl from a non specific part of Spain to avoid having Basques firebomb my house for getting it wrong. But of a weird ending, but it allows for some good storytelling in the future.

Croakie: She doesn't need a feud at the moment, she is on the rise and willing to take on any challenger, as far as I see it there are 3 waifu could want a shot at her from being dumped out of the rumble by her.

I gotta say I was rooting for the Bony Gal here. It made sense for everyone else in the match to be there, and I would have been perfectly fine with. I could not have made a better ending even if I wanted to. That was just pure kino and I was popping in my chair when it happened. Lots of options to go on from here on out.

What I want to see and want to do in the future:

The reason I began to upload the CAW's to the community hub is to have if function as a library of sorts. So that we have a base to work from. That it can work without me being that. That it will outlast me. Look upon my works, ye mighty, and rejoice.

My CAW slots are pretty much full. That doesn't mean I can't make CAW's anymore. It just means I need to take down a few of my uploads to make more space. I could potentially set up a rotating roster of downloads or have other anons download a few that they in return can upload themselves, once more to save me CAW upload slots.

I don't know how long it will be until Showdown in Spaghetti Town or Bishojou at the Beach. I don 't know if I will be the showrunner for that. (I'd be fine either way.) I'll be around regardless. I don't know where to take my characters from here on out. But fuck it, that's the fun of it, no?

In the near future:

I want to see something with either the rookies or the tag division. Skelly has thrown out an idea for the Hardcore Title that I quite like too. The IC title seems to be evolving naturally as well, which is good.

I could easily set up a slow rolling Rookie Cup. A match every few days. But first, I want to go on a little sim break before I get back to the grindstone again.

Purely out of interest, in future would you considering simming and recording all the matches in one go, and putting them on the Youtube in intervals? I don't know how Youtube works, but I feel that might be less of a long term strain on you.

Your CAWs are all great, and as you say it already acts as a library. I don't think every person simming matches needs every CAW on hand permanently, and this will certainly only get bigger/people will want things updated like Omega stats or Skelly moveset or even just Nikki's hair.

EXACTLY. Like it's cool if some people want to be ERP buddies or whatever, it's none of my business and I don't have a problem with it, I just don't find them at all interesting from a wrestling perspective.
However some like Sola Fire, Lucy Lincoln, Nico Katz and Lightning Nika to name 4 of the rookies, have been worth getting invested in to me because they're in feuds, have characters beyond 'I'm a nice girl that likes x'. I could be forgetting one or two. Holly has potential too I just need to see her go after someone now. Could have missed it if she did.

There are heels. Divine Angels associated rookies for example, although Lightning ain't really a villain. I'm Hollyanon, she is supposed to be a heel but a lot of her shit has been less outright villainous, just shit talking of Justice Jupiter presently, in part because she immediately starting feuding with Tzaravina who is also a heel, and because you can't really build up to an imminent confrontation mid PPV. My intention with her is to have absolutely 0 respect for the vets or the rookies who look up to them, just been waiting on Collide to finish and settle before taking off.

It's way easier to do the kind of stuff you want to see as a heel. If your character is a face then you can't really pick fights because that's a heel thing to do. So if you have a heel, maybe start a feud with one of those plucky babyfaces instead of chewing them out for not breaking character.
When I had Nikki start acting like a heel I ended up feuding with 3 or 4 people at the same time at one point when she was at her most arrogant, doing stuff with heels is just way easier.

Think of something that can inevitable lead to misunderstanding or further storylines.

If you are a five foot nothing cruiserweight, no matter how keen you are for a fight you shouldn't be thrilled to fight Bishamonta or Zunigoth or Lillith. Even a clear cut, fighting babyface should ahve some reservations on fighting their friends or these big characters.

And finally, remember this is all just stupid wrestling roleplay. Everything should inevitable lead to a wrestling match, ideally just a regular match and then build a stipulation from there.

I prepared for both outcomes. Did have to alter the plan slightly because Priscillaanon had a whole plan with a faction ready to go as well but that works nicely.
I don't know about her and Cassie ever actually feuding though because they're both my characters, feuding with other people and having to adapt is where the fun is. The only way it could happen is if they had an exhibition match as part of another feud, like if Cassie and Priscilla's business deal went bad and they feuded and Priscilla made Cassie fight Nikki to get a match with her or something like that.

The more I think about it, the company being in some alternate reality of a South American Mega-Country would make sense. If Meixcan values were lost in an americanized western version of south america decades ago or something, it'd kayfabe explain our lack of Luchadores (the shoot reason being the AI can't do lucha masks) but how we still have wrestling as a big draw (+ our closeness to the USA and the need for a short travel to Spaghetti Town). All the fantasy stuff can come from immigration from further south because as well know, Brazil is a wild fucking country. Something like this rough map I did. What do we think my fellow autists?
