Maybe, but when you have a big hoss who isn't a super worker but who's still getting hot with the audience, you need to strike while they're over. Especially the ones in their thirties.

It didn't just work with Goldberg. Batista became the biggest star in WWE for a time, and remained a main-event staple ever after, because WWE didn't dither on his push and force him to lose a bunch while he was hot. It's a simple formula, but it works as long as it's done.
