I think it's some sort of devil deal. He gets to somehow stay relevant and prominent on tv into his late 50s but everyone always associates him with the LOLTNA years despite his runs in like a dozen companies. Sort of like how Lawler, despite his legendary run in Memphis as the king, will be the PUPPIES! guy whenever he comes up in conversation too
