It was a great moment, but it was also the series finale of wrestling. To this day smarks are desperately trying to hijack every angle just because WWE capitulated once. It very notably made Roman's early push suck because the smarks were so uppity. There also ended up being zero follow-up. I like Bryan, but he had no payoff. Putting over Orton or Batista might have actually had more pay-off than Bryan. Although WWE was pretty much asking for it since they could've just let Bryan hold the title for a month after Summerslam.
